Lumber Drying

We utilize a Nyle L53 Dehmudification Kiln to dry lumber to moisture levels suitable for furniture and other woodworking projects. To prepare the lumber for drying, we properly stack and sticker green lumber to allow air flow through the stack, removing moisture before being finished inside the Nyle Kiln. Charges are baffled correctly to direct the heated air flow through all layers of the stack, picking up moisture from the wood along the way. This moisture laden air passes through a compressor, condensing the moisture and removing it outside. This cycle continues until the charge reaches the proper moisture level, after which the charge is run through a sterilization cycle to complete the process.
